Eightfold AI launched its AI Interview Companion on April 8, 2026, extending its talent agent architecture to support human interviewers during live conversations. The product provides real-time guidance, structured evaluation frameworks, and automated documentation, allowing interviewers to focus on candidate assessment rather than note-taking and rubric management.

The AI Interview Companion works alongside the existing AI Interviewer that launched in October 2025. While the AI Interviewer conducts autonomous screening sessions, the Companion supports human-led interviews by suggesting follow-up questions, flagging coverage gaps against the role’s competency framework, and generating structured evaluation summaries immediately after each session.

Eightfold also expanded its AI Interviewer with functional and coding evaluation capabilities. The system reads role requirements, automatically builds the appropriate interview framework, and conducts adaptive sessions covering multiple evaluation dimensions in a single unified interview available around the clock.

The platform operates on a dataset of 1.6 billion career trajectories and 1.6 million skills. It evaluates candidates based on content rather than video, biometrics, or tone. One-third of Eightfold’s customers are Fortune 500 companies. The system holds SOC 2, ISO 27001, and ISO 42001 certifications.

Chief Product Officer Sachit Kamat framed the product thesis: “How do we improve the entire interview process? As fast as your business needs and as human as your candidates deserve.”
