LinkedIn’s February 2026 quarterly product release expanded Hiring Assistant with Microsoft Teams collaboration, AI-generated follow-up messages, AI Applicant Targeting, and Verified Applicant Spotlight. The update marks the first time LinkedIn has committed to a sustained quarterly AI cadence for its talent solutions.
AI Applicant Targeting extracts must-have criteria directly from job descriptions and converts them into editable filtering parameters, reducing the manual setup that recruiters perform for each new role. AI Follow-Ups drafts personalized messages to candidates who have not responded, automating the re-engagement cycle that consumes recruiter time.
The Microsoft Teams integration allows Hiring Assistant to help recruiters and hiring managers align on candidate feedback in real time, making faster hiring decisions without switching between platforms. Verified Applicant Spotlight surfaces candidates whose credentials have been independently verified, adding a trust signal to application review.
When Microsoft reported its FY2026 third quarter on April 30, it revealed that LinkedIn’s agentic hiring products had reached an annualized run-rate of approximately million. Charter customers using Hiring Assistant reviewed 62% fewer profiles, saved more than four hours per role, and saw 69% higher InMail acceptance rates.
The quarterly cadence signals LinkedIn’s intent to iterate rapidly on AI capabilities rather than holding features for annual product blocks. For competing recruiting platforms, the pace of LinkedIn’s feature shipping raises the bar on what buyers expect from their vendors.
